Hi, I'm Russell.

I work in technical administration, managing web hosting infrastructure and Windows Server environments for a team. Day to day that means server configuration, hosting platforms, and keeping things running for people who'd rather not know how the sausage gets made.

How I think about this

Simplicity Fewer moving parts, fewer ways to fail. The same principle that keeps a server easy to secure keeps a website easy to trust: cut anything that isn't load-bearing.
Reliability A system you can explain in one sentence is a system you can actually reason about when something goes wrong.
Ownership I'd rather understand every part of something small than half-understand something large.
